FRAMING & DESIGN

Framing is the assembly of lumber or other materials  regularly spaced and fastened together with nails and other hardware to create floor, wall and roof systems. Home design can begin as an idea or concept before moving to the next step and getting it on paper. On paper, it can start out as a drawing on a paper napkin or draft on a computer program. However you decide, we can go from there to bring your ideas to fruition. We will also design and engineer your unique plan to transcend industry standards as well as exceed building structural and safety codes. Whether or not your site was previously occupied, construction of entirely new structures and/or significant extensions to existing structures are within our scope of practice. Contact us today to get started or to help your idea come to fruition.

DECK WORK

When working outside, cedarwood decks are among Josh’s favorite places to be. We have created a great number of decks over the decades.  From composite materials like TimberTech and Trex to time tested cedar, pressure treated lumber and Brazilian tigerwood. We’ve built covered patios and decks up to three stories. Considering the views of the spectacular landscape of the Northern Oregon Coast, we enjoy almost every minute of it.  There is a plethora of railings to chose from including aluminum balusters, pickets and spindles, cable rails, glass rails, wind screens, and of course classic cedar. If you know what you want, we will make it happen. If you prefer, we will also design and build it.

SIDING, ROOFING & WINDOWS

We specialize in cedar siding and James Hardie fiber cement siding materials.

Roofing is an essential part of shelter. Gingerich Bauherren will guarantee that a roof is properly installed to exceed the manufacturer’s specifications for warranty purposes, but more importantly to protect your investments and give you peace of mind this winter.

If you need door installation or replacement, we can help choose from multiple styles and materials for your interior and exterior doors and/or windows. Prices vary depending on the door/window material, size, features and hardware you choose as well as the geographical area where the interior or exterior installation will take place. All installation is guaranteed not to leak and will comply with product warranty requirements.

Finish carpentry is one of the final touches that makes a house feel like a real home. It is composed of three basic actions which involves measuring, cutting and installing. We work on homes after the structure is fully built and weathered-in. We install doors, floor covering, trim, moldings, cabinets, stair bannisters, shelving and a lot more. As finish carpenters, we also cut and add design flourishes to window and door trim or built in bookshelves, intricate fireplace surrounds, and closets. This work is highly visible, and we have the certain level of woodworking skill required to produce tight joints and level installations. We may hire another finish carpenter or simply do it ourselves, but even a homeowner can work with finish carpenters on a new home or remodeling an existing house.
